Wind Deflectors

Hey guys, did a search but came up with like 800+ thread, most being progress thread so thought it'd be easier just to ask lol.

Do these things actually work? Gonna be doing a fair bit of motorway mileage in the new car so just wondering if they actually work or people are just buying them because they are a newish phase that will soon pass lol

So out of the many many people who have them...no-one has any comments to make?

yes they actually work, you cant beat having your window open on the motorway and not getting a face full of rain

Yer if you open the window down slightly lol.

Other then looks thats about it imo.

do they not? (Serious question). I always presumed they would - bit like the thing that pops up on a sliding sunroof to stop the wind buffet noise etc. Maybe I'm over thinking it

god dammit, was hoping you was going pop out and find out lol guess I'll have to buy some and use the sound meter app on my phone to find out....thanks for no-ones help in this I joke, tempted to get some.

I'm with you though Ross, obv won't be quieter with windows shut but surely must make a diff when windows slightly open like the sunroof

    Dear Baz.
I have a set of front window deflectors fitted to my BX, Baz They allow
me to have both front windows halway down, which is where I sometimes
like them to be, and still great like that and with the sunroof open aswell.
( at least until I can get the air-con working again, which it isn,t at the
    moment Baz.
They are great and I wouldn,t be without them Baz
    I hope this helps.

Hi Vince Thanks for popping in.

What are the benefits? Still allow fresh air but don't lose the lose paperwork from the car in the gale? Less or same amount of noise?

    Dear Ross.
Sorry Ross I forgot to say didn,t I.
The wind noise is almost non-existant, when you wind the window down.
and there are no extra external wind noise due to the wind deflectors being
fitted Ross. and they are very easy to take on and off to polish them and the
    rest of the car too.
    Vince.

have a set on the mango and they make a massive difference, can have the window all the way down and doesn't blow on you. but makes it more windy in the back

they also reduce wind noise when the window is down

I bought these & was extremely happy with them. They are cheap, easy to fit yourself and look in my opinion! Can open window slighty even when it is hammering it down which i like. I'd say helpful if you smoke in the car aswell.

Got to be good when your at mcdonalds drive through and it's pissing it down and there's no roof! While they take ages taking your money or giving you food while you and your door cards get drenched..
