Hi guys and girls, new to the forum and after reading a ton of posts and helpful topics I feel I'm in the right place! First off I have recently bought a 1999 vts which is very fun and just a little get around for now, it's a good buy for the money so far but I do have a couple of issues: after reading loads of posts I still haven't found a solution, my steering seems to creak whilst turning at slow speeds and whilst stood still but can't hear it when going above say 20 mph. It also does it when braking but only when nearly at a stop, it only did all this every now and then before but now it is doing it non stop so obviously alarm bells ring and I don't want to end up in the s@&t if something happens. I haven't as yet lifted the car to have a check but was hoping someone could shed some light on what to look for before I do.
Also next thing is not really a problem but a niggle I think, what is the gauge in the bottom right? It is something to do with oil temp or pressure I guess but I can't figure out why it only lights up and shows a reading for a couple of seconds after startup and then just shuts off!? Any help would be massively appreciated!
