Power steering squealing

  1. #1
Hey, So I've had a number of problems with my car as expected as it did end up in the sea a while back ... http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=432664 ... and after fixing everything else and getting it starting correctly, the power steering has become very noisy.

When the cars running it lets off a horrible squealing/screaming sound, however when I'm turning the wheel this will stop? I'm assuming the easiest route would be to go to the scrapyard and get a new unit? and if that's the case how hard would it be to swap over ?
    Cheers, Dom

    Hi Dom

They're very easy to swap mate. There's a guide on here if you search, but really it's self explanatory,

    Hope this helps

Mine was doing this, gave it a good crack on the metal end with a hammer (not the end with the reservoir) and it stopped mine from doing it! It's free and worth a try? And check hoses for kinks too
