Door closed,semi open, fully open.

   Just wandered if 3 doors have that semi lock mechanism that holds the door open without u having to lean on it to keep it open.
   In my old 5 door, you could lock it out at certain positions, say 1/4 open, 1/2 open or fully and it wouldn't swing back on you.
   
   Any idea how I could make this so on my current 3 door saxo?

   Near your hinges on you door should be a small metal bar going from the door into the body of the car, I think this is called a check strap, if it doesn't hold this will be missing or damaged
