Lowering but how much

I'm thinking about lowering my saxo, it's standard at the moment but I want to lower it but just the springs. What's the best distance to lower it by so that it's low but not uncomfortable.( not scraping over speed bump) can you post some pictures of what yours is lowered?

    Cheers

40mm would probably do you but 50mm looks perfect imo although will scrape speedbumps.

I think its apex that do a 30/35mm kit, which is a nice drop, and if you change the dampers aswell you don't get that horrible bounce that some lowered cars do.

what kit would you recommend as well

I've got my vtr lowered on apex 35 mm springs and it's fine with most speed humps but does scrape on the big ones

dont worry about speedbumps until you go passed 60mm

i personally dont think 35mm is enough after lowering mine that much. If you plan on using standard shocks then get a set of 45mm eibach sportline springs. They're very comfortable on standard shocks

    40m everytime is best

Go for whatever you like the look of then just avoid speed bumps . . Like thats even possible these days

I agree, 30mm-40mm is ideal for ride and handling and day to day practicality.

Don't get why everyone thinks lowering 40/50mm will cause speed bump issues. Lowering a saxo that amount basically gives you the same clearance as a standard M3!

Only way your going to scrape on the average or even over average speed bump is by going 30mph. Up till 60/70mm your fine for day to day practicality

50mm on Eibach if you don't want it to harsh

cheers again for all the replays it's been a big help. Will probably be going for 45-50 mm on eibach springs. Is the 45-50 mm just on the back or the front as we'll?
    Thanks

You need to take it to a garage that will do the job properly, Ricky P is one who'll do it in Yorkshire
