What is this white plastic thing? Picture included

   Hoping someone can help me out, what is this white plastic bit with two rubber hoses attached that sits near the rear beam?
   Mine doesn't stay in position because the plastic lug on the bottom has broke.
   
   Pretty much dead centre of the pic.

   since nobody can be bothered to answer
   its something to do with the fuel, it has a ball bearing inside.
   just tie wrap it up, thats what i did on mine.

   its the fuel cut off in case you roll your car

   just the breather with a non return valve.

   I was starting to think that once i traced one of the hoses up through the wheel arch and up into the roof ish somewhere.
