    can i just swop 1.1 for a 1.4 engine without having to mess about with the electrics. thanks anyone

    which electrics? same year same plug essentially may as well put a vtr engine.in it, probably easier to find one too!!

    its a mk1 you'll need a different loom. . if its a mk2 i "think" you can use the same loom, so yes.
