temperature problems??? any help please

    hey all

i have had my saxo vts for a month or so now and its was a vtr but someone has put a vts engine in it and done a pretty bad job. i have just change the radiator to a vts one as the lad had left the vtr one on. my question is, i have now fitted the vts radiator and bled it (well i think i have) but im only just getting warm not hot just warm-ish air out of the heater vents. took it for a drive to today on the motorway and the temp gauge goes all the way down to the bottom as if its cold, is this right? water is flowing round so cant see it being the water pump or can it? what will happen if the car has no thermostat?

any help would be great, cheers ant

Check both coolant temp sensors (one or ecu, one for dials)
Also did you bleed from all three bleeding points?

it will run cold for longer and will take along time to even get slightly up to temp without a thermostat.

saying that on my mk2 fiesta the 'stat got stuck open and ofcours bearly moved out of the blue (cold) and i did a 5-7 mile trip to work in traffic.

I'd get a thermostat in it asap

I had this problem. I thought the thermostat was stuck open. So I got a new one and when I changed it there was no thermostat in there lol.

People are bodgers, removing the thermostat is not a good solution to anything and leaves the engine at the mercy of the water pump
