scrap value for vtr

    Hi i rang the local breakers up and they said will give me 200 quid for the vtr. Is this a good price or could i make more off doin it myself. And is it worth the extra hastle. Or should i take it and run lol. What do you guys get for cars round your area???

    Ok im gonna take it then. Will be sad to see it go had it 4 years. It must have about 10 weld patches on it tho. Would of stuck another engine in if was ok just got too much.

    You might be able to sell the engine, box and beam if they are any good but not for a lot of dough. VT kit may sell and the wheels etc

    They said the engine gotta be in it plus coilpack and sensors and that. Might take alloys off.

    they will put the engine on eBay for like £500 and then the sensors probably £50 each.

    love scrappers/traders who do this lmao.

    as for vtr alloys dependent on condition of alloy/Tyre £70-120 normally.

    i would personally strip the vt kit and and wheels + any interior bits worth selling on and let them have the rest.

    £200 isn't that bad to get it out of your hair!

    personally, id strip it and sell the parts on, then just give them a bare shell

    A lad I know just dismantled a vts and managed to to just under £1000 for all the bits!

    He's actually considering buying vtr's vts's and 106 gti's to dismantle as he got rid of the parts in a couple of days.

    Last week he was off down to newcastle to pick up a gti to break up so I would say get the tools out and start stripping that mofo down for bits to sell.
