I'm back again with another problem, sorry
My car is a 1.1 2002 desire with less than 35,500 miles done... FSH and only 2 owners (family friend, and family friend's Gran).
The issue is that it seems that whatever gear I'm in, as soon as it hits around the 3/3.5 revs, the accelerator jumps//bounces/vibrates as if to tell me to change gear, when I change, it seems to stop until again I get to roughly the same rev mark. This is on any type of road, motorway, smooth road, country roads, in case that changes anything.
I suppose that's relatively normal, however when I'm in 5th gear and accelerating, unless I gain speed really, really slowly, it seems to vibrate almost as if to say "ouch, too hard!"
Is it a fact of me accelerating to harshly, or might there be something wrong?
My grandad used to be a grease monkey working in a garage, and has offered to just have a look at my spark plugs and all that basic servicing stuff, but I'm not sure I'd be able to let him have a proper look at anything else, if anything is wrong... Although I'm sure he could, I'm not betting much on his replacement hips holding him up doing anything too manual on a car!
Am I just being overly paranoid?!
Thanks for any help in advance!
