   It just means you will get warm air from around the engine into the engine. Whereas with the pipe there you will get cold air from where the pipe to the right goes to, into your engine.
   
   Cold air is always better, but it will still run okay.

   Will still run but its better to have the missing piece in their,or it wouldn`t of been there in 1st place mate.
