Help on replacing brake cylinder on drum brake.

   basically am 99% sure my rear passenger side brake cylinder has blown since brake fluid was pissing out of it and i had absolutely no foot brakes! bloody scary.
   
   anyways am at the point where i have removed the hub nut and drum
   can someone help me on how i can remove the actual cylinder?
   i do have a haynes but it isnt much use especially in the rain...

   Your going to need brake shoes too they look heavily contaminated.
   
   I always start by cracking the pipe off the rear, 11mm it should be, just make sure its free then nip it back up for the time being
   
   The two hex clips you can see in each brake shoe, the push inwards and twist 90 degrees to pop off, that loosens the shoes.
   
   The shoes will be able to be pulled off complete, twist them over and then unhook the handbrake cable.
   
   At this point i would clean the drum plate completly, sand down and re grease the contact points.
   
   Then remove the brake pipe completly from the cylinder, make sure you block it so it dosent leak everywere.
   
   There should be either 2x 10mm bolts of maybe 4mm alan keys that hold the cylinder in place and thats it it will come out.

   thanks for replying. And yep seems to be quite contaminated. changing the shoes should be fun....

   just do one side at a time then if you get confused you can look at the other side
