Bought this car just a month ago but has a bit of rust going on otherwise a mint car

What do you guys think of this rust? Is it easily welded up? Worth it? I'll upload pics.

It also has the usual rust underneath where the ecu and battery/fusebox is and underneath on the boot floor spare wheel area.

has it gone though? if not clean it off with a wire brush (try and get the underseal off also)
    some rust killer.
    primer
    stone chip
    hammerite and be all sorted

It has gone through the underskin not through the top floor yet but thinking it is going to need cutting out and some new metal welding in. It is developing on other parts of the car too the metal feels soft with developing rust.

im sure thats where the jacking points are for when it goes into a garage and onto a lifting ramp,

my quicksilver was much like the last pic, i got quoted alot more tho, so it got the scrap sadly.

i actually found whole new panels on ebay for the quicky, so itd be a case of removing and welding this new piece.. tho it was years ago since i looked into getting a set

nope, that's not the jacking points but muppets do tend to use them as that.

Sadly all saxo's/106's are getting to the age now where rust has appeared somewhere. Very rare to find one which hasnt got/had any at all. Have you got any pictures of the inner wings and boot floor etc?
The parts you've shown arent that bad to sort to be honest, so well worth sorting if the rest isnt too bad as well!

yep, my car went in with rust in that area and when it failed the mot, it had two huge holes in each side,

now i stick to one local garage who does the job right, shows you exactly what hes taken off and replaced etc..
