Argh, this has got the best of me, sent the resistor off to get refurbished, arrived today, fitted it and there's still no fans in the car??

Anyone got an idea what else could be wrong?? Was really hoping thats all it was....

When im in the car, if i turn the AC button on and off, there's a loud clicking comes from the engine bay, thought it was coming from the Air Con area, but its more like the engine???

    Resistor thats been refurbed

    Unknown part?

Area that seems to be clicking

And a video of the noise if you can hear it??

Getting kinda desperate now to get this sorted, and not paying Renault £500 to do it...

    Thanks

Is that the one on the 2nd photo mate???

Seen people talking about removing the fan motor, havent got a clue how/where to get to it though. Resistor was easy enough to get out.

I recently done the heater resistor on my mates Clio and I was near in that 2nd photo. And tbf it is only like £60 from Renault so not really worth getting returned.

Heater resistor is £105 + Vat.

And its be refurbed and still no good..

The clicking coming from down the front of the engine is the clutch on the a/c compressor engaging and disengaging. It has nothing to do with the heater fans not working. On the mk1 clio's the heater resistor pack burns out and when it does it damages the wiring to it so check all the wiring leading up to it is in good condition.
Where abouts are you based? If you're anywhere near Milton Keynes or fancy a road trip get in touch as we have loads of Clio experience and know our way round a multi meter.

Had the fan out of the car today, wired it to the battery and still no spin, so this mean its definitely the fan motor???

    Thanks
