Yet another question which is an easy one ECU wise

   Right after recent events my engine conversion hopes have been shattered. So now i've gotta source an engine the same as my old shagged one. A 1.1 SPI injection. But i wanna quickly know if i get one and use my old loom, will i need to still unlock my ecu or can i use it as it is? ? My head can't think of any reason why i can't so just wanna make sure!

   If you're just changing the bare engine over then yes the old ecu will be fine to use as your still using the original key/immobiliser

   lol no worries I've just done an engine swap on my bmw and used old ecu and loom as I just swapped the bare engine over

   well was supposed to swapping my 1.1 to 1.4 but having some difficulty sorting my ecu out. and need my car for sunday so just need to find a new engine
