cat converter

    Hi

    My car failed its m.o.t on emissions yesterday ,It's a 1.1 with cat in the downpipe and a mate had one off a 1.4 will it fit ok or will there be any problems fitting it as its off a 1.4

    any 8v downpipe with built in cat will work

    Ideal mate wasn't to sure because of like the bore size with it being a bigger engine , didn't want it to blow were it met the centre pipe

    I got a cat from a 1.1 for the vtr and it was shorter than the one i took off, so nothing lined up

    1.1/1.4 are same

    Vtr is bigger I'm pretty sure

    Pattern part by any chance.

    All mk1 should be the same and all mk2 should be the same. I have a mk1 1.1 cat on mine.

    as said any mk2 downpipe SHOULD fit, wheather or not vtr is adifferent size i cant confirm but sory blackie lol but i dont think they should be any different ive had a 1.1 cat on my vtr/vts

    i have bought vtr exhasut parts fro my old vtr and they didnt fit... it was down to cheap parts and not the actual fitment

    and then ive bought 1.1 parts and they fit straight on, just luck really but if its a oem part then it should fit on

    I would have said the same tbh

    Same mani ect


    I've had vtr and quicky ones side by side before and the vtr one was bigger, may have just been pattern part as said, but we're defo diff

    Don't see why the should be.. But they were
