Right found this today under the bonnet i think it was connected to the alarm one wire on each side and you can push it down, do you reckon its just a switch ?

It`ll be for instance if someone tried to open the bonnet it would have put the interior lights on & triggered the alarm.My saxo had it when I 1st bought it & the alarm was faulty so kept on immobilising the car,had it all removed by an auto electrician.
