no start after battery relocation

reloacted a race battery to behind the passenger seat. earthed off one of the rollcage bolts, positive extension wire bolted to the original positive terminal location

battery has 12 volts, lights etc work, when i turn on the ignition there is a constant wirring/ buzzing from under the ECU (fuel pump location?) the engine management light constantly flashes and the mileage turns to 0

any ideas? i have a cut off switch in the middle of the postive extension, perhaps i've wired this up the wrong way round but i cant see this making a difference?

    any ideas?

tried a few different earth positions - same result

checked a few earth locations in the engine bay - same result

checked fuses, relays - all good

checked voltage throughout the positive cable - 12 volt

    any ideas anyone?

after further investigation it appears you need an earth between the gearbox and chassis, is this true? if so, some advice on where the points are as i cant remember when i took the thing apart

Yes theres an earth that runs to the top of the gearbox. Depends on the gearbox casing used (top of the box secured with a bolt, or a pin with a nut) where it is but you'll see it
