Standard Exhaust Problems

  1. #1
    Hi Guys,

I own a Standard 1.1i 1999 Saxo and my exhaust went, the Front Pipe, The Cat and The Back Box.

I fitted the replacement parts, supplied by Europart but when I pull off (right up to 20/30Mph) there is a horrible Vibrating/Grinding noise which vibrates the whole left side of the car.

I am presuming this is an issue with the back box as thats the only part on the left side.

On my car, the exhaust is one of the ones which is fitted tucked behind the rear bumper, and there is some sort of 'SHELF' like part below where the exhaust mounts (Pictures To Follow Tomorrow)

If this is not the issue I am unsure what it is, the rubber is brand new and nothing else is touching.

The exhaust is fine when I am idle or rev in neutral.

ANY IDEAS? I have been trying all day.

Am I JUST having a 'SLOW' moment?

As mentioned I will upload pics tomorrow!

    Thanks in advance,
    STAN

Could be the cat hitting the heatsheild or any other part of it hitting the heatsheild. Just have a look under the car and see what you can see

Could be the exhaust vibrating on the bumper.
