There is a strange screeching/grating/scraping/all of the above noise coming from the offside somwhere. I'm just gunna point all the variables of the problem easier than writing an essay. It originally started on the way home from a friends after heftily scraping her driveway.
Topped up the gearbox oil and that nulled it for all of about 20miles and then it started again as bad as always.
So the variables being;
- Coming from the offside
- Starts when turning right
- Stops when centre/left (Though has done it turning right before as well)
- Stops when accelerating
- Starts when decelerating
- Can hear it slowing as the vehicle slows
- No problem in steering or driving, doesn't snatch or pull under braking.
- Annoying as hell
- Loud, can still be heard with loud-ish music on
I didn't want to go about replacing parts without other opinions but does this sound like the driveshaft or the likes of the bearings orrrr????? HELP?
