1.4 fuel return

  1. #1
right so been crawling through 10 pages of previous threads trying to find the answer i need, with no luck. I've looked at countless pictures of 1.4 engines, from auto's, westy's and furio's.

Question i have is, on the left hand side of my fuel rail, there are two plastic horn/hole/connector thingy's that i "presume" the fuel goes into. One pointing up, one pointing towards the front of the car slightly.

I currently have two fuel lines, fuel in and return, from my old single point injection 1.1 set-up. But most the pictures i've seen only has one line going in.

Do i only need to plumb in one fuel line and block the other one?

or do both my current fuel lines go into these connections on the fuel rail i was talking about, that is, if they are where the fuel lines are supposed to go that is.

Sorry for the questions, but i really don't have much of an idea how this shit works. Wish i'd never bothered swapping the engines!!! Was told it was simple, clearly i haven't made it so lol

is it the anti porcelin chamber? suppose to get rid of all the excess petrol fumes etc.

No. It's a line that returns fuel to the tank, so you don't over fuel/pressurize your injectors i believe. But seem's with a 1.4 mpi i don't need one, i think. Thats what the question was, also where the single line fuel goes too.

You need to retro fit the mpi fpr system.... Wait a mo... I'll be back lol!

If poss can you post a pic of your fuel rail...as i want to see what these connection are your on about

I think youve actually got the rail with a built in fpr... I can kinda see one end of the rail in your progress thread... Just need to see the other end!

You might just beable to pipe it straight up

If you have a look on a 106 XR, around the age of p reg, exacly the same engine as a W reg furio or the westcoasts, HOWEVER they had a fuel return im asuming your doing a conversion, either get a XR fuel rail, or block off the return!
