Getting a loose engine collected?

   Hi guys,
   
   I've found an engine i'm interested in, but its 300 miles away. Now i'd assume any courier will want this on a pallet or they won't touch it? Has anyone ever had a non palletised engine picked up by a courier and if so who did it and how?
   
   This is an complete engine with exhaust manifold but no gearbox, so i'm guessing it must be a good 80 kilos?

   Nope, even gearboxes i have sent or received have been on pallets, so an engine would need to be on a pallet and secured i would imagine. A bare engine would be around 70kg i would think, but with manifolds and alternators attached obviously more.

   i got a 8v once in a stacka box. carnt remember who delivered it tho!
