Fuel pump not priming

  1. #1
Drove around on Sunday and parked up. I thought it might be a good idea to learn what buttons do what on my immobiliser as I've had the car a month and haven't dared.. Got in my car and got food, came back and it wouldn't start so we had to bump it to get it home.

I've run wires directly from battery to the fuel pump and disconnected it at the rail and it runs alright and fuel gets through.

I've taken the plug off and made sure 12volts are getting to the plug

    All fuses checked

I've checked numerous earths including from what I've researched -the C pillar one which is for the fuel pump.

I've swapped over the relay under the ECU from my Saxo (I've never had it running in my ownership but the previous owner/mate did) which has had no effect.

I've followed steps on Autodata to check the pump and still didn't prime

I did this without putting a switch in but would that actually make a difference?

I've also contacted Mr TOAD in regards to my immobilser in the car hoping I haven't ballsed something up when pressing buttons..

wut do? (I think I've covered everything)

edit; I would say I've tried the inertia switch, but I don't know where it's been moved to..

Could it be the fuel cut off switch in the engine bay?

    If you can find it

Looks like the bracket holding it might be broke, it's normally just behind the battery somewhere, but check to see if it has dropped behind it or down around that area somewhere

Too late to go outside and check,

    but;

was taken 5 years ago and still doesn't have it.

Seem to have found the issue! The small fusebox above the battery had a dodgy connection (whether it was to do with the plug underneath or the fuse). After tapping it checking voltage we heard more clicking from the relay which sounded good!

Cleaned connections and made sure all was secure and so far seems to be fine
