pas pump whining noise

   sometimes my pas pump is making a whining noise when the cars just sat at idle and i'm pretty sure it never used to do this.. steering doesn't feel quite right either like not as responsive as it was. any1 else had this problem?

   Yep a sure sign the pump is nearing the end of its life,sorry mate.

   Second that!
   Mine does this now and then, good whack and it goes for a couple of weeks, just a temporary fix for now til it eventually fails.

   will my steering issues be related to the pump getting worn out too then or a seperate problem?

   its not really stiff no it just feels a bit sloppy i don't think the pumps ever actually stopped working its just the noise it makes
