Its super tight yet its still slack!?
worst part of the job. No idea why it wont press the cat to the downpipe..

get a new gasket to fit? Needed one when I fitted my racetube to std mani....

its not the gaskey jay. the lower pipe can adjust but its been pushed right at the front. the bolts/springs are tight. yet i can still move the cat back and rattle it

use a tube of exhaust paste then when you've passed yer MOT rip it all straight back off!!!

or use silicone to seal it as it will move with the exhaust rather than just shatter

I dont need to "rip it off" or wait till ive passed a mot. It will regardless. (cat isnt in the mani).
Just had a little issue bolting it tight. Sorting it now.

sounds odd, you sure you have done it correctly, ie, spring in the correct place and have you used a fire ring? (that tapered round thing that sits in the end of the mid pipe)
