brake fluid

need to change mine...has same stuff it came from factory with +small amount of uprated.

but with brembos and has had MASSIVE abuse..sure ive boiled it before at least once...pedal all soft..nigh on zero effort

so its safe to say it needs changing really bad (im on it)

seems that since ive got the car back on the road the brakes are shite...and even hard pressing gives nothing on what i used to??..pads are fine..discs are fine...level is fine

    no leaks..decent lines

can only really be the fluid cant it?

all calipers are free..and working well..just doesnt seem a patch on what it once was

was thinking the servo may be on its way out..but still sticking with fluid for the time being

    opinions?

Did you use a pressurized bleeding kit?

    Yeah that's what worried me.

Just bleed the fucking things Andy and get decent new fluid in there - not the shit half used from 4 years ago at the back of your shed

nooo will be all new..was the plan hence the small amount of new stuff when fitting the axle and brakes (same weekend)

didnt have any uprated stuff so just used a new bottle of OE spec to top it up

theyre all bled up fine..think the fluid is just fucked from being too hot too many times

will get some new stuff in asap..any "current" recomendations for decent high temp stuff

+1 for ATE Super Blue Racing - very good stuff. £15 a litre from ECP IIRC.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTUL-RBF-...item3ccb0e0e62

Thats what I bought when I changed mine, can't comment how it was on track abuse though as it didn't get any but was fine down country lane blasts

I used Motul 5.1 as well in both my cars, cant fault it but then it was free from a mate
