Jerky Saxo in the mornings.

    Hi,

My Saxo ( VTR Y REG MK2 2001 ) seems really jerky the first 5 minutes on startup.

It fires up OK, just as I pull off its really jerky. After a couple of minutes its ok ?

    Something need a clean ?

I have the exact same problem, it seems to be worse when it gets colder.

After five minutes though it runs fine

would try the usual suspects, clean your icv, and maybe change fuel filter if not been done in a while

It had a full service only 5 months ago or so.

    Fuschs oil, engine and Gearbox.
Fuel filter, Oil, Air, Pollen, NGK Plugs, New battery.... the lot.

Perhaps a bit of redex, or some quality fuel like shells finest ?

Cheers bruv i'll give it a nudge.

Does it make a difference that its decatted.

I had a blow recently and I though the jerking was related to that, but since I'v had the blow sealed. It still does it.

Could be the coolant temp sensor.
If it only does it for the first few minutes then it could be that the sensor is sending fasle readings to the ecu making it over/under fuel.
