release bearing

    I've just put a new one on as the old one was lost somewhere in a garage and old also.

    Should it have left to right movement on the shaft, of course it goes forwards and backwards up and down the shaft. Also where it clips onto the clutch fork it just seems like it could fall off if you know what I mean?

    Should they be like this?

    Yes they clip on to fork and unclips so easy if you knock/lift the arm. Stupid idea

    Yeah its a notoriously shit idea. Dont ever touch the clutch arm when fitting the box up!

    Yeah man, I knocked it off at one point, trying to re-locate it while it's next to the engine is a pain.

    Cant see why they didnt make the "snap" onto the arm properly, bigger plastic lugs and such like
