I have a 2002 vtr which sometimes has issues starting, the speedo etc moves up and down on its own was sat in mcds drive thru and it said i was at 4000rpm and doing 60mph when i was at standstill and was at idle. the main issue i have is that at idle it tries to stall and when im driving along it bogs down and flashes the engine management light (the engine management light is also constantly on) but if i turn the engine off and turn the ignition to position 2 and off again 7 times it resets it and runs fine for a little while, i have changed the crank position sensor, throttle position sensor, idle control valve, map sensor. i have connected the car to a fault code reader and came up misfire, and a friend has connected it to his laptop and it came up with crank position sensor which has been changed. also if i remove the breather pipes of the inlet it runs perfectly so thinking there is a blockage somewhere.
