Hi all just replaced head gasket on my sons 1.1 Saxo Forte (oil Leak) front left of head.
All back and running ok apart from the Temp Indicator is on on the dash (no gauge) it comes on from cold. Then the fan cuts in and runs after switch off.
I did have an air in the system but cleared that opening the 3 valves and bleeding the system. The heater is working ok.
The engine has 2 sensors to the Right of the engine block .
One with 2 connectors reads 5k6 Ohms and varies with engine temp.
The one with a single connector reads open circuit.
My question is is this correct ?
Currently with battery disconnected to see if reset of ECU fixes it.
Did not have this problem before I started.
