Just a quick question is the bearing inside the carrier or on the driveshaft. As I'm just trying to pin point a noise I'm getting.

#4Thanks how do u no if the bearing as gone. I'm trying source where this noise is coming from. My brother had a look at weekend and when he wiggled the shaft forward n back there was a bit of play. Could this be the carrier bearings or does it sound like my gearbox is on its way out maybe the diff he said.

#5its in both when fitted lol.
shouldn't be any play at all, could be the diff, which end of the shaft was the play?... -
#6Unsure he holded the shaft at the end and turn it forward n back. He said it felt loose and just said there was play in it. You could also here a rattle noise. The shaft was out of the hub.

#7It'll more than likely be a bit of play in the diff, each time you go forward to back it makes a little noise? Mine does this, what noise problems are you having?
