   Can you fit an Citreon Xsara VTR engine in place of my VTS lump?
   Or am i just being stupid!!
   
   Has ne 1 got 1 done and can i have a look at the pics please!

   intresting question! ive heard the 2.0 vts is a no no without a bucket load of cash at least but this is a 1.8

   Because i wont a quicker car, u know wot i mean! Plus its 2000 1.8i 16v i saw it in my local scrappy! He was asking £120 for the engine, what do you reckon bit expensive. HELP ME IM NEW TO THIS!!

   You will need deep pockets mate. The engine mounts wont be right etc, all the drivetrain like gearbox wont fit properly, as i said befoe the added weight in the front would fuck the handling right up. Could you not go a for a turbo conversion? Would be cheaper I should think

   its still the same size engine i wont more power gain. Something to give my mrs a bit of thrill! Instead of being bored in a go kart as she calls it

    thats Simo's article on his turbo conversion, Im sure people will be able to give you some good avice on where to go for the parts.
    
    And Xsara VTRs had 1.8 16v lumps i thought?
