How to remove gear shift knob?

    Hi

    How can I remove gear shift knob?

    Second question. Can I replace it with leather one and also leather gaiter?

    Mine is the same as in this picture:

    Search button is just above, and to the right a little my friend

    In short, pull off. Man up though as they feel like they don't want to come off. But they will.

    I found sitting with it between your legs helps. No need for lube though. just pull as hard as you can. Gives the woman next door something to think about too.

    if your putting a leather gaiter on it like on the vtr's and stuff it looks soo much better if u shorten the shaft i think

    Haha, thanks for replies, it's the same as in my Alfa Romeo 145

    Just thinkin, what type of short shifter would you reccomend? And also what gear knob?

    Get the shaft threaded and the world of knobs is yours. I'm running a Ek9 knob on mine.

    With a tap and die set. You screw the die onto it 1 turn then half turn back over and over till it's threaded.

    4th gear and sat in the back seat can sometimes make it easier. they do go bang when they come off!

    Sometimes made easier by twisting it 90 degrees (either way) then pulling like fuck
