Petrol cap

   In brought an aftermarket petrol cap, went to fit it and when I remove the old standard one the key cannot be removed untill it is put back in place. Is there a way to remove the key whilst its out as I've only got one key for my car?

   Im not an exspert so you dont have to listen to me, but if you wont be using the old cap again and you have a new cap that came with its own key ? So you need your old key out the old cap to use it, for doors ect simple brake it (without deading the key oviously) but there probs a normal way of doing this but i just hammerd mine lol (if my advise is tacken no responsiblity from me) hope this helps
