Mk1 downpipe and manifold on mk2 vtr?

   are all mk1 manifolds and downpipes the same? i've been told I can put this on my vtr and i'm halfway through putting it on it it seems like it just doesn't want to fit keeps hitting the sump and it doesn't line up with the gearbox bolt hole either.. top part of the manifold fits fine its the downpipe thats not going.. any help?
   
   hopeing i'm not going to have to put my old manifold back on now

   i know what youre saying mate, basically, ive noticed that there are two different mk1 downpipes!
   they look identical but the 3 holes on the top are in slightly different positions mate, so that mean once you attach the down pipe to the manifold and try fit it , it wont fit

   Ahh! i've just spent ages relocating my oil filter and now i'm gonna have to put it all back on until I can get the right downpipe, just had another go at making it fit and there's just no chance. Wouldn't be able to link me to the right one would you?

   i found this out too mate, i go through downpipes like no tomorrow because its the lowest part on my car and theyre always snapping or bending out of shape
   
   i cant really link you to the right one mate as they look identical but the holes are in slightly different places
   
   i just order them from A to Z and hope for the right one :/

   Ah ok then, ill go and put it all back togeather.. what a waste of a saturday night lol! I'll try and get hold of a new one next week. Thanks anyway mate
