respraying rear lights ... legal ?

   No... You're not meant to diminish your rear lights in any way.
   
   But... I've never known anybody to be pulled over or fined for such an offence.

   mine r sprayed posi blue same as car,never had any problems

   My mate sprayed his lights black and he went a bit overboard with the black paint. Basically he got pulled over at like 11PM for 'not having his lights on', haha...

   a friend of mine tried doing his on a shitty fiesta except he buggered it up and one was way darker than the other!!!

   I think its just a case of spraying over the reflector, since its a requirement in the UK.
   If you blank off that, or buy a new one and fit it elsewhere you should be ok.
   Aslong as your brake lights etc actually look alright still!

   i did sum of my old 1's in black spray and left strips where the lights shone through, they looked ace but then i jumped on the lexus lights wagon, im gald i fell off that lol, bottom line i neva had a problem and they were proper black

    no it aint illegal as long as u can clearly see the light when lit up and as long as there is a reflector that is very visable. ive got mine dark black like n ive had ne bother

    i have a wicked red sax, sprayed my lights red and got pulled over once because my indicators are red and my reverse light is pink, but my mates has a black clio and has sprayed his pure black and has never had any trouble... the police just asked me to change them

    I recently smoked my rear lights with black spray paint... looks the biz, and ive had police cars stop behind me at traffic lights and they havnt said anything :thumbup:
    
    I will get a pic up a bit l8er to show you how they turned out.
