Knocking noise when driving at 70 mph

  1. #1
As it says in the title, When im driving at 70 mph and steer to the left my car makes a knocking/ clunking noise, it feels like its coming to from the drivers front side and under my feet, i have had the wheel bearings changed, and i had a snapped suspension mount which got fixed, So havnt a clue what it is, any help would be greatly appreciated?

Ps. and how do you fix the horn? mine doesnt work and my M.O.T is due next month.

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers.

Pop your head under your car and check to see if any of the gaiters are split on you drive shaft and check for grease sprayed everywhere if so this could indicate worn joints on your shaft as there would be no lube dirt got in etc etc, and as for your horn while you're under your car it's behind your front bumper on the drivers side check its all connected etc hope this helps

    Welcome to the forums

How rhythmic is it? What sort of speed? Only at 70mph or does the same thing at lower speeds just not as much?

Still does it in a straight line just less, or not at all?

I'm drawn towards a CV joint but need a bit more info.

Thanks for the replies, it only happens above 65 - 70 mph, and going round left turns only, it doesnt make any noise at all below 65 mph, i can only describe it as a knocking noise every 1-2 seconds until i go straight again which the noise will go away.
