Plese help VTR emlight flashing -multiple misfires

    Hi guys need some help.

    My vtr overheated the other day, took it to the garage to find it was a faulty thermostat which they replaced. The following day started driving to work and the em light starts flashing and the car went into limp mode. So took it back to the garage and 3 days later, still couldnt figure out what it was. The code read multiple misfires, but didnt pinpoint to anything. So they they replaced the spark plugs, and gave it the all clear, drive off, 10 min later, same problem. So now have replaced the fuel filter and cleaned up my airfilter, which seemed ok when we went out for a spin, gave it the all clear again. Went down the motorway this morning to double check it, must have been doing around 80ish for approx 20 seconds when the same thing happens again! Limp mode seems to go once i have switched the engine off but dont wont really drive it while the lights still on.

    Any ideas?

    coilpack? I would say the coilpack would be more obvious rather than air filter for a misfire..

    Forgot to add that in. They replaced that too.

    may have a faulty knock sensor

    Have you looked at the fuel pump pressure as I had this on a 1.4 Irish spec vtr and it was the fuel pump having a spaz mode and if a fault code reader can't find the problem then it could be the pump

    They need to get it on a fault code reader instead of just replacing parts willy nilly

    eBay draper fault code reader can get them for £20 better to do it ya self then get robbed by Citroen I know I work for them!!
