2002 VTR misfire/no power

    Hi

Pulling away and as i tried to accelerate there was a massive lack of power and i could hear a knocking noise (pinking?) So i eased off and pulled over,

This happened after 30mins of driving,

At a standstill on idle the car feels rough and shakes you in your seat and the EML light flashes, but the compressions are there so its not a timing issue or slipped belt, so most probable the coilpack?

Ive changed the spark plugs as the cheapest alternative before i get one but does anyone else have any knowledge to share just in case it isnt the coil pack?

    Thanks

    It'll be the coilpack mate.

Plug it into a diagnostics.. will most likely show a random cylinder misfire fault

take ur coil pack out put a known working spark plug into 1st port on coil pack put bottem of the spark plug on the rocker cover get some one to turn the key and watch check if it sparks, repeat this with the other 3 if you finding one or more is not sparking let me know i have a cheap reliable fix...

Happened to me.... check the tightness of your spark plugs.

One of my spark plugs had come loose and de-threaded the thread in the head!
In the end i had to get a time sert fitted.

EDIT: Ignore this post... I just read further and noticed you've changed the spark plugs
