Water and water pump

   Another question regarding my cheap vtr
   I've noticed that the water level keeps getting low and when I take the filler cap off I hear a rush of water come up the expansion bottle.
   I also hear a rushing water noise on start up when I rev the car.
   Does this sound like signs of a dead water pump?
   My fan does come on and off and the temperature gauge seems to stay around the normal mark, I cannot see any signs of fluid leaking either.

   Sounds like you have an air lock in the cooling system which needs bleeding mate.

   This - The saxo's are a nightmare to bleed properly.

   Are they? if you do it with the header tank method they are easy. Its the K-series in your rover thats hard to bleed with its thermostat location

   I'll look at draining the water system and bleeding it this weekend then and I'll see how it goes
