4-2-1? 4-1?

    what diffrence is there between the 4-1 and the 4-2-1 manifolds?

    Power delivery... 4-2-1 gives better high rpm 4-1 gives more torque iirc...

    only on a properly tuned racecar might you notice a difference.
    On the VTS for a bolt on manifold the Supersprint makes the best power

    Arse backwards that is, and only a general view, most well designed 4-2-1's do both.

    i have just fitted my supersprint 4-2-1 NO POWERE DIFFERENCE WHAT SO EVER !!!
    but it sounds very nice now

    I fitted a supersprint 4-2-1 on my vtr and it feels like it pulled better in the higher revs but I'm not sure if its placebo lol

    putting it on the vtr but unsure what 4-2-1 to go for as my oil filter on just below the manifold so need to order the right one lol

    I got a ToyoSports one on mine. (from ebay) 4 -2 -1 Heatwrapped aswell. £140 quid.

    I had this same debate a few months ago and was going pay all that money on a Supersprint. I saw the cheap one and thought, " defo not " but a few people on here have them and said they are fine.

    I ended up buying one and since getting it over a year ago, I've had no problems at all, It fit perfectly on my Mark 2, came with all gaskets and sounds nice and made a fairly significant difference in throttle response.

    It wears off after a bit though so don't expect turbo performance.... Super sprint / Toyosports, either way after about a month you wont really notice the difference as much.

    Always sounds nice though.

    The supersprint does sit close to the oil filter, misses it by like 5mm but I haven't had any problems yet, i might still do an oil filter conversation yet.

    simple trick is to use stick on aluminium heat sheild over the oil filter. Reflect the heat away from it.

    Supersprint only make a manifold if they can get a performance gain...

    But the rest of the system will make a difference to how the manifold will work as well. What do you have?
