Crunch

Hi everyone, Started my car yesterday with the clutch held in because the car was in reverse gear before started. The car started to reverse itself without me releasing out the clutch.

Turned the car off and put it in nuetral, started the car again and tried putting it into gear but it wouldn't go in and kept crunching.

Took it to the mechanics this morning but the car seemed to be back to normal.

Mechanic looked over it and took it a drive and said everything is fine.

Could any one tell me what the problem could be?

I was thinking that it could be a problem with the gear linkages, clutch or gearbox.

Prob the release bearing wearing threw the fingers on the pressure plate. There is a good chance you can prob hear a noise when putting your foot on and off the clutch. If this is the case then sorry pal you need a new clutch.

badly adjusted clutch cable could also be the culprit

Turned out to be the clutch.

There was four springs in the clutch, one was completely gone and the other three were broke
