some manifolds are poorly designed in this way, you just have to make do with whatever you have. Open ended spanners etc

Slide the mani onto the studs but only half way.. Then you can put the lower nuts on.. push the mani all way and put rest on

its toyo sports one. only reason iv had it was because of the price. i ended up with a toyosports 4-2-1 for my civic but never ended up fitting. i got it at a steal of a price of a forum member. when i decided to have the saxo i checked to see if they did a 4-2-1 for the vts and they did so we exchanged a few emails and i went down friday and swapped them. and because the rrp for the civic mani was higher i got the sax mani 2 rolls of heat wrap a new induction pipe and a bunch of tie wraps for the heat wrap. even tho i only paid £50 for the civic mani done it mike brewer style bita wheeler dealer action lol like i say its the two on the left hand side 2nd and 3rd in. main reason i cant get my oversized hands in between the other pipes and now they are wrapped makes it even harder. going to get underneath it and remove oil filter (servicing it anyway) and do it 1/100000th of a turn at a time with open ended 13mm spanner.

I'll be honest I couldn't understand half of that..

But I had problems with my 4-2-1 bottom left bolts, took a lot of awkward positioning, and tiny turns at a time..

But at least you sorted it

yeh an hour of swearing and bruised knuckles but i got there. the car seems to have gone into a limp mode though. took it for a test spin and after roughly 30 minutes it stopped revving past 3k and sounded like it was gonna cut out. could this be somthing to do with the lamba sensor?
  11. #11
any ideas? the car sounds like its going to cut out but just about stays running but very jumpy. only way to get the revs over 3k is to drop the clutche. still goes through all gears smooth until you get to 3k. alls iv done is fit the 4-2-1 but have not fitted the lamba sensor. does it need to be sleeved and put in the engine bay? help please as i want to get the car serviced, bucket seat fitted and out for a spin saturday. also not heard from the seller with the pugsport so looks as tho im on the hunt for a 2" saxsport or pugsport still.

    cheers
