Mileage counter not working correctly?

   Firstly, HI!!! I'm new to the forum i will find the section to introduce my self and say hello to you all, Also i own a pretty much standard 1.1 T REG saxo, with big plans to modify although first things first sort the basics out..
   
   Not long bought the car and the previous owner says he replaced the clocks, it had 10k on the clock when i bought it. But is now saying over 30k, i know i havent done that, ive only had the car 10 days!!.. Thing is... Speed seems accurate, where could this problem be occuring ? trip mileage counter seems ok, but havent accurately check yet. It's just the overall mileage counter im worried about.

   Is this an analogue or digital clock mate?

   T reg 1.1 will be analogue, dials with no temp guage or rev counter

   It's a analogue clock, with rev counter, no temp gauge just a temp warning light,
