lowering front 40mm

    got a pair of 40mm lowering springs for my mk2 1.1, are these 'plug & play' ? or do i need to relocate certain things to stop rubbing etc

    40mm should be fine no relocation or mods needed bud

    You'll need to 'relocate' the power steering pipe... aka bend it out the way. Thats if you have PS.

    Otherwise, the springs will go straight on

    can i cable tie it to something so its out of the way?

    not really
    you never know it might just clear, but if not, it only takes a slight bend out the way with a metal rod

    bend it without kinking it or peircing it

    to do mine, i places a 2cm square of mdf in between the steering rack and power steering pipe, and then let down the jack, so as the weight of the car came down it slowly bent the pipe

    Oddly I've just gone 50 on the front of mine and there's not a problem at all
