Front springs query??

Have a set of spax front springs not sure of the poundage or even if they are spax? They are red with no ID other than a printed number PE04F in black, coils have a 3" OD and start each end 2.5" aprox! Also which way round should they sit tightly spaced coils to bottom or top?? Help!!

    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply mate

Yeh that would make sense because the tightly spaced coils are quite soft compaired to larger spaced coils. This must be a progressive sports spring for the road, don't think it will be much use on track.

Anyone know where is a good place to look for hard springs for the track?
And can the torsion bar be uprated?

    Cheers

Number or manufacturer always goes so you can read it when fitted to the car iirc. Could be wrong.
