  1. #1
    Hi guys got a saxo 1.1 x

Oil is pissing out the side of the head cambelt side, my mechqnic friend did a compression test on all cylinders, all were reading 130+ Psi, what is the psi ment to be, and how long do you think my head gaskit has, ? Dont say just fit a new one because that is in mind for when i come into cash, im asking how long left and whats the compression men to be in psi? It has barly any cream on oil cap so little it could be mistaken to be condensation, its 1999 and i do 30 miles to work on motor way and 30 miles back

    Kindregards japp1

Its common they weep from the cambelt side, it can last for ages if you keep it topped up with oil. Only way to sort it is to change it of corse.

As Cam said, the alloy block TU engines are prone to leak oil from that side by the cambelt. It will go on forever like that. My old westcoast was like it until i sold it on 130k, was perfectly fine.
