speedo not working ????

   recently changed engines and converted a vtr to a 106 gti however everthing is connected but my speedo dosent work any ideas please ? the dash lights up with things like oil light, hand brake light and stay on pernimant but no speedo or rev counter, could it be to do with different looms e.g. i need a vts loom ?

   I think you will have to change the loom inside the car to match up with the engine loom etc

   Its more than likely the wiring mate as saxo clocks don't work in 106's
