limp mode?

    having a few problems since fitting my 4-2-1. after fitting i let the car idle for around ten minutes on the drive before going for a spin. after another 15-20 minutes the car started to sound like its going to cut out but just about stays running but very jumpy as if in a limp mode. only way to get the revs over 3k is to drop the clutch. still goes through all gears smooth until you get to 3k. alls iv done is fit the 4-2-1 but have not fitted the lamba sensor. does it need to be sleeved and put in the engine bay? help please as i want to get the car serviced, bucket seat fitted and out for a spin saturday.

    Yes it will be the lamba giving you the problems

    is the best way to cure this to sleeve it and put it in the engine bay? or re connect it?

    I would start by re-connecting the sensor TBH.

    well iv fitted the lamba sensor tightened every nut on the flange of the 4-2-1 and im happy to say the motor runs sweet as a nut. didnt realise how much of a different feel the car has after stripping and fitting a 4-2-1 and exhaust. cheers for help lads
