Just changed my bottom arms

What a stupid place to put the rear mount.

Who at Citroen thought it would be a good idea to put 2 suspension bolts under the carpet lol
  2. #2
Just take the carpet out. Sorted

It's not like the carpets actually fitted properly in these anyway lol, they just pull out.

Bt I know exactly what you mean, had a bit of a shock when I found them myself!

Yeah not hard to do (Just pulled the carpet back) but a surprise they were under there.

How much easier would it have been to have 2 studs sticking out and nuts under the car or captive nuts like most other manufacturers.

I think its a smart way to protect the bolts/studs from water/rain/dirt salt snow etc from rust, easy to undo.

tbf, it keeps them safe and dry and you dont have to re-use them.
on ford sierra's the anti roll bar does up (similar setup to a saxo) into a captive nut thats inside the chassis rail. you undo the nut from the outside, BUT its common for the thread to strip or the weld on the captive nut snap, so the anti roll bar in un removable without removing the carpet and cutting a hole in the floor and sorting it from on top. proper mess take..

Yeah I agree with this, better than on a 206 the bolts are underneath and can rust and need cutting off, changed them on a 1999 Saxo and they come off dead easy

The passenger side is not too bad but the drivers side is annoying because the pedals do get in the way abit lol
